The Big Fat Indian Wedding — Isha Ambani Weds Anand Piramal

India witnessed one of the most extensive weddings on December 12, 2018 — when Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani tied the knot with Anand Piramal of
Piramal Group. For those who don’t know, Anand Piramal is the son of Ajay Piramal, an Indian billionaire industrialist, and the chairman of Piramal group. Anand himself is the founder of Piramal Realty, one of India’s biggest real estate companies. He holds an economics degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed his MBA from Harvard Business School. Anand proposed to Isha at Mahabaleshwar earlier this year.

The Ambanis and the Piramals have been in limelight since the past one week for
their extravagant wedding festivities. The couple and their families resorted to Udaipur, where their pre-wedding ceremonies were held in Udaivilas Palace. All the Bollywood A-listers, cricket stars and even America’s former first lady, Hillary Clinton graced the pre-wedding functions with their presence. Beyoncé stunned the audience with one powerful 45-minute performance. Guests were served some delightful treats at Udaipur. There was everything from chocolate covered strawberries to utterly gooey premium cakes and desserts. The wedding took place at Antilia, Ambani’s house which was decked up like a bride itself.

Bollywood stars including all the Khans, the Bachchans the Kapoors, cricket stars
and politicians including Mamta Banerjee and former president of India Mr. Pranab Mukherjee bestowed their blessings to the couple on their wedding day. Isha Ambani was seen wearing a golden Abu Jani deep Khosla lehenga, while her groom was spotted in a golden sherwani. The couple is all set to have their reception at Jio Gardens, Bandra on December 14, 2018.
